The standard 700C frame size road bikes, even in the smallest models, often require a minimum height of 150cm or more to be comfortably ridden. If the rider's height is insufficient, not only will the riding feel strenuous, but it will also impact their cycling performance.
To address this issue, we have specially introduced the HASA RTS-1 road bike. This model is designed specifically for children in the 130-150cm height range, providing them with a bike that fits their smaller stature while still offering the benefits of a 700C road bike.
HASA RTS-1 is designed specifically for children between 130-150cm in height. This bike features a frame and fork made of high-quality aluminum alloy, all manufactured right here in Taiwan.
The key dimensions of the HASA RTS-1 have been optimized for this target user group. For example, the distance from the seat to the pedal spindle is just 62cm, and the distance from the seat to the top of the head tube is only 47cm. These measurements perfectly match the proportions of children in this height range.
In addition to optimizing the sizing to fit children 130-150cm in height, the HASA RTS-1's frame design also considers enhancing the riding performance for young cyclists.
The HASA RTS-1: An Entry-Level Road Bike Tailored for Children
HASA has thoughtfully designed the HASA RTS-1 with the specific needs of young riders in mind. One key example is their choice to use a 152mm crank arm length, which is shorter than the more common 170mm or 165mm cranks found on mainstream road bikes.
This shorter crank design helps to reduce the distance between the seat and the pedals, creating a more comfortable and natural riding position for children. Compared to using longer cranks, the shorter 152mm version not only allows the seat to be positioned closer to the ground, but also improves pedaling efficiency and smoothness for younger riders.
Handlebar Design
In addition to the shortened 152mm crank arms, the HASA RTS-1 also features specialized handlebar sizing to cater to its younger target audience.
Whereas typical road bikes often use 38cm or 40cm wide handlebars, the HASA RTS-1 is equipped with a narrower 36cm handlebar. This reduced width better suits the proportions and hand size of children in the 130-150cm height range.
Braking System

While the RTS-1 does not utilize the braking components from major component manufacturers, HASA has instead developed its own proprietary brake lever design. This custom brake lever is specifically optimized for the smaller hands and grip strength of children in the 130-150cm height range.

This smaller chainring configuration is better suited to the physical capabilities of young riders. The reduced gearing makes it easier for children to maintain a comfortable pedaling cadence, even on flat terrain. And when climbing hills, the lower gearing allows them to exert the appropriate amount of force without having to overexert themselves.
The Lightweight Wheelset

Braking System
