The Aceoffix S5 is the upgraded-parts model in Aceoffix's aluminium tri-fold bike range, with 16-inch (349) wheels, 5 speeds and front and rear rim brakes, quoted by the manufacturer at 8 kg. It leaves the factory with an H30 carbon swallow-style handlebar, carbon saddle, Schwalbe Kojak tan-wall tyres and SAPIM spokes, for riders who want a Brompton-style tri-fold with the handlebar, saddle and tyres already upgraded.
At a Glance
- Category: adult tri-fold folding bike (16-inch / 349 wheels, 5-speed), the Brompton-style bikes Hong Kong riders call "guo bu" or "aluminium Brompton"
- Brand: Aceoffix (China; also written ACEOFFIX)
- Where it sits: the upgraded-parts line of Aceoffix's three aluminium folding bike lines (the Y5 is the entry line, the C5 focuses on low weight)
- Weight: 8 kg (manufacturer figure, not stated whether pedals are included)
- Upgraded parts: H30 carbon swallow-style handlebar, carbon saddle, Schwalbe Kojak folding tan-wall tyres, SAPIM spokes
- Drivetrain: Aceoffix 5-speed derailleur, CNC hollow one-piece crankset with 50T aluminium chainring
- Brakes: front and rear rim brakes (forged caliper type), Jagwire lubricated cables
- Best for: short city trips, riders who want factory upgrades such as a carbon handlebar and tan-wall tyres
What Problem Does It Solve?
Many riders buy a Brompton-style tri-fold and then replace the handlebar, saddle and tyres one by one. The S5 is Aceoffix's upgraded-parts line: it comes from the factory with a carbon swallow-style handlebar, carbon saddle, Schwalbe Kojak tan-wall tyres and SAPIM spokes, at a manufacturer-quoted 8 kg, so those parts are already on the bike when you buy it.
Who Is It For?
- Good fit: riders who mostly make short, flat trips around town and often fold the bike for public transport or storage, especially those who like carbon parts and the look of tan-wall tyres.
- On a tighter budget or buying your first tri-fold: compare Aceoffix's entry line, the Aceoffix Y5 16inch 349 5 speed Folding Bike.
- If low weight matters most: the Aceoffix C5 16inch 349 5 speed Carbon Fork Folding Bike has a 6069 aluminium frame and T800 carbon fork, quoted at 7.5 kg (without pedals and front carrier block).
- If you want disc brakes and more gears: consider the Aceoffix D10 18inch 355 10 speed Carbon Fork Folding Bike, with 18-inch (355) wheels, 10 speeds and IIIPRO hydraulic disc brakes.

Upgraded Components
H30 carbon swallow-style handlebar with light foam grips
The S5 comes with an H30 carbon swallow-style handlebar and ultralight foam grips. Aceoffix says the bar is shaped for Asian riders, with a suitable height and width for less fatigue on longer rides.
Schwalbe Kojak folding tan-wall tyres
The S5 rolls on Schwalbe Kojak folding tyres with tan sidewalls, fitted to polished aluminium rims.
SAPIM spokes and six-bearing hubs
The wheels use spokes from the Belgian brand SAPIM, with brass nipples, polished aluminium rims and six-bearing hubs.
CNC hollow one-piece crankset, Aceoffix 5-speed
The drivetrain pairs a CNC hollow one-piece crankset and 50T aluminium chainring with Aceoffix's dedicated 5-speed derailleur. The brakes use aluminium levers with forged caliper brakes (which Aceoffix also describes as high-strength CNC calipers) and Jagwire lubricated cables.
Carbon saddle, CNC quick-release pedals and aluminium easy wheels
The S5 has a carbon saddle on an aluminium seatpost with a two-bolt clamp head, CNC quick-release pedals, cut-out aluminium easy wheels and a plastic front carrier block.
Four-layer paint, 6 colours
The frame has a four-layer finish (anti-rust coat, primer, colour coat and clear coat), which Aceoffix says resists rust and heat and keeps the colour looking fresh. The S5 comes in Red, Green, Purple, Black, Silver and Titanium.

FAQ
What is the difference between the Aceoffix S5 and C5?
The C5 focuses on low weight, while the S5 focuses on upgraded parts. The C5 has a 6069 aluminium frame and T800 carbon fork, quoted by the manufacturer at 7.5 kg (without pedals and front carrier block), and also comes in a 7-speed version; the S5 is quoted at 8 kg without stating whether pedals are included, so the two figures are measured differently and should not be compared directly. The S5 comes with a carbon swallow-style handlebar, carbon saddle and Schwalbe Kojak tan-wall tyres. Both are 16-inch (349) 5-speed tri-folds with front and rear rim brakes.
What is the difference between the Aceoffix S5 and Y5?
Both are 16-inch (349) 5-speed aluminium tri-folds with front and rear caliper rim brakes; the difference is positioning. The Y5 is the entry line, while the S5 focuses on upgraded parts and is listed with an H30 carbon swallow-style handlebar, carbon saddle, Schwalbe Kojak tan-wall tyres and SAPIM spokes. For the Y5's full specification, see the Aceoffix Y5 16inch 349 5 speed Folding Bike.
How much does the Aceoffix S5 weigh?
The manufacturer quotes 8 kg, and a Thai dealer, the Alibaba listing and mainland Chinese media give the same figure, but none say whether pedals are included; Jollymap has not weighed the S5.
Is there a 7-speed Aceoffix S5?
The S5 on the Jollymap online shop is the 5-speed version. If you need 7 speeds, consider the Aceoffix C5 16inch 349 7 speed Carbon Fork Folding Bike - Matt Grey, also a 16-inch (349) tri-fold.
Can the Aceoffix S5 use Brompton parts?
It depends on the part. Jollymap's reviews note that the Aceoffix C5 and Y5 have 74 mm front and 112 mm rear dropout spacing, the same as an original Brompton, but no dropout figures have been published for the S5. Please contact us to confirm before ordering Brompton or third-party parts for the S5.
Can I take the Aceoffix S5 on the MTR or a bus?
The MTR depends on the folded size, and buses are generally restricted. The MTR limits hand luggage to a total length, width and height of 170 cm, measured on the folded size including pedals; the S5 dimensions diagram only shows the folded length and height (printed as 585 CM and 620 CM, which Jollymap infers from the scale to be about 58.5 cm and 62 cm; not a manufacturer-confirmed figure) and no width, so the total cannot be confirmed. If you plan to take it on the MTR, please contact us to confirm the folded size before ordering. On franchised buses, section 14 of the Public Bus Services Regulations (Cap. 230A) only allows items within 5 kg and 0.1 cubic metres, so folding bikes are generally restricted and it is up to the bus company; minibuses are not guaranteed either.
What colours does the Aceoffix S5 come in?
The S5 comes in Red, Green, Purple, Black, Silver and Titanium. If you want to check the component colours on a particular frame colour, please contact us before ordering.
Where is Aceoffix from, and where can I buy the S5 in Hong Kong?
Aceoffix is a Chinese brand focused on Brompton-style aluminium tri-folds. The Aceoffix S5 is available on the Jollymap online shop and in store; before choosing a colour, you can contact us via "Chat with us" on the online shop or our Facebook page.
Specifications and components follow the manufacturer's latest release and may change without notice. If in doubt, please contact us to confirm before ordering.
