TCR Advanced - Built to Go Faster
Whether you're climbing, cornering or launching an attack, this all-new composite road racer is made for that moment. Lightweight, efficient, and integrated for speed, it's engineered to give you a competitive edge in every situation.
System optimization
The frameset, wheels, cockpit and other parts were engineered, developed and tested together to perform as a system. The all-new Contact AeroLight stem allows for cable routing that integrates the top cap, cables and spacers in a more aerodynamic, user-friendly setup.
Winning efficiency
Featuring a greater stiffness-to-weight ratio than the previous generation, along with new aero tube shaping and a lighter overall weight, this uncompromising race bike delivers explosive acceleration and unyielding pedaling stiffness. The result is race-winning performance in the moments that count.
Integrated aerodynamics
All tube shapes were engineered and developed using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling and wind-tunnel testing. From the truncated ellipse shape of frameset tubing to a new cockpit design and component integration, it all adds up to a more streamlined profile that improves overall aero performance. The Variant seatpost adds just enough compliance for a balanced, race-tuned feel on the road, while generous tire clearance (up to 33mm) and compliant wheels keep you rolling with speed on smooth or bumpy roads.

Key features of the TCR Advanced range
1. Advanced Composite
High-performance grade raw carbon material is used to produce this custom frame material in Giant's own composite factory with a high stiffness-to-weight ratio. The front triangle is assembled and molded as one continuous piece in a proprietary manufacturing process called Modified Monocoque Construction.
2. Truncated ellipse tubing
Strategically engineered airfoil sections in the frame and fork, developed through CFD and wind-tunnel testing, improve aerodynamic efficiency, reducing wind drag at a wide range of yaw angles compared to traditional teardrop shaped tubes.
3. Internal cable routing
Frame/handlebar/stem feature unique cable porting for a sleek, non-cluttered appearance and easier adjustability. The Di2 electronic wiring is also routed internally for a clean cockpit.
4. Composite fork
Advanced-grade composite fork features a symmetric design and aero shaping, along with disc-brake integration and increased clearance for tyres up to 33mm. The design makes it lighter, stiffer and more aerodynamic.
5. Aerodynamic handlebar and stem
Lightweight handlebar and stem feature aero shaping including flat handlebar tops with raised edges to help riders maintain a stable aero position. Internal cable routing further improves aerodynamics while maintaining ease of setup and adjustment.
6. Variant seatpost
This proprietary seatpost design offers the perfect balance of light weight, aerodynamic performance and compliance, along with easy saddle installation and adjustment.
7. MegaDrive
An oversized down tube and top tube provide superior front end lateral and torsional stiffness. The precisely engineered, rectangular shaped down tube yields unprecedented steering precision and pedaling performance.
8. PowerCore
The oversized bottom bracket area features a fully integrated 86mm wide design. Symmetric chainstays provide additional stiffness on the driveside and stability on the non-driveside.
9. Disc-brake integration
The frame and fork are engineered with flat-mount disc-brake technology for powerful, consistent braking performance in all conditions. Thru-axles front (12x100mm) and rear (12x142mm) add stiffness, precision and stopping power.

TCR Advanced Size Selection Guide
Not sure which size to choose? Giant publishes an official recommended height range for each frame size, which you can use alongside the geometry table below, or use our professional size fitting service to confirm.
| Size | Recommended height (Giant official) |
|---|---|
| XS | 157–169 cm |
| S | 165–175 cm |
| M | 171–181 cm |
| ML | 177–187 cm |
| L | 183–193 cm |

TCR Advanced 1 vs TCR Advanced 2 (KOM, 2025)
Both models share the exact same Advanced-Grade Composite frame, geometry and wheelset. The main difference is the groupset:
| Model | Groupset | Crankset / Cassette | Wheelset |
|---|---|---|---|
| TCR Advanced 1 - 105 Di2 KOM (this page) | Shimano 105 Di2, electronic | 34/50T / 11-36T | Giant P-R2 |
| TCR Advanced 2 - 105 KOM | Shimano 105, mechanical | 34/50T / 11-36T | Giant P-R2 |

FAQ
How much does the TCR Advanced 1 - 105 Di2 KOM weigh?
Giant does not publish a single official weight for this model. Giant's own specification page states that weight varies by frame size, colour finish, hardware and installed accessories, and recommends having your bike shop weigh the actual unit for an accurate figure. Don't assume the weight from another size or another model.
What size should I get?
Use Giant's official recommended height ranges above as a starting point (for example, 171–181cm for size M), then check the full geometry table for reach and stack against a bike that already fits you well. Because saddle height, arm length and flexibility all affect fit, we recommend a Jollymap Bike Fit session to confirm before you buy, especially if you're between two sizes.
What's the difference between the TCR Advanced 1 and TCR Advanced 2?
Both use the same Advanced-Grade Composite frame, geometry and Giant P-R2 wheelset. The difference is the groupset: this Advanced 1 comes with Shimano 105 Di2 electronic shifting for fast, precise shifts with button-adjustable trim; the Advanced 2 uses Shimano 105 mechanical shifting, which is lower priced and simpler to maintain day-to-day.
How is the Di2 system charged, and what maintenance does it need?
Shimano 105 Di2 is a semi-wireless system: the shifters connect wirelessly, while the front and rear derailleurs share a single battery via wiring inside the frame. The charging port is on the rear derailleur (RD-R7150) — charge it with a Shimano charging cable, and the rear derailleur's LED shows the battery level. In Hong Kong's humid climate, periodically check the charging port and connectors for moisture or corrosion, and contact us if you need guidance on care.
How does the TCR Advanced differ from the Giant Defy or Propel?
The TCR Advanced uses a lower, more aggressive race geometry built for speed and all-round performance. The Defy uses a relaxed endurance geometry with D-Fuse compliance for long rides and rough roads, while the Propel is a dedicated aero race bike. If you race or want the most agile handling, the TCR Advanced is the most all-round of the three ranges.
What's the difference between the KOM gearing and the PC build?
According to Giant's official specifications, the KOM version of the TCR Advanced range uses a 34/50T crankset with an 11-36T cassette — an easier climbing gear range. The PC version uses a more aggressive gear range with a lower-profile wheelset. The 2025 TCR Advanced 1 and Advanced 2 currently listed at Jollymap are both KOM builds.
Is this bike tubeless-ready, or does it come with inner tubes?
Giant's official specification lists the wheels and tyres as "tubeless prepared." Please contact us before ordering to confirm exactly what's included for tubeless conversion on the current stock.
How do disc brakes hold up in Hong Kong's hot, humid weather?
Shimano 105 Di2 hydraulic disc brakes generally give more consistent stopping power on wet roads than rim brakes, which suits Hong Kong's summer weather. As with any hydraulic system, we recommend a periodic brake fluid and pad check, particularly if you're riding long descents regularly.
