HERE’S A TICKET TO HIT THE TRAIL. THE XTC JR. 20 IS THE PERFECT WAY TO INTRODUCE YOUNG RIDERS TO OFF-ROAD RIDING.
Lightweight frame
ALUXX-grade aluminum frame provides a lightweight, purpose-built chassis for aspiring young off-road riders. Giant describes ALUXX as 6061 alloy with single-butted tubes.
Confidence and control
Size-specific wheels and front suspension give young riders the performance they need for true off-road riding. The fork has 50mm of travel.
Kid-friendly features
Youth-specific performance components help young riders improve their off-road skills, including Giant Junior grips, a Giant Jr. Sports saddle and junior MTB brake levers.
Twist shifting that is easy to use
Shimano REVOSHIFT is a twist shifter: kids change gear by twisting the grip with thumb and index finger, without taking their hands off the bar. With 1x7 gearing (32T chainring, 14-28T cassette) there are more gear options for hills than on a single-speed kids' bike.
Features
- HL steel suspension fork, 50mm travel for comfort and control
- Alloy crankset, 32T
- 7-speed drivetrain to get the young rider over hilly terrain
- Size: 20" wheel
Who is it for?
Good fit: Kids 120–140 cm tall who want to try slopes and gravel paths beyond flat ground.
Less suitable: Kids close to or above 140 cm, or growing fast, may be better on the 24-inch Giant XTC JR 24 (Giant recommends 130–150 cm). For mostly flat riding without suspension, see the rigid-fork Giant XTC JR 20 Lite.
