The Sooibe 007 Pro 14" is a 14-inch aluminium mixed-age kids' folding bike from Sooibe, weighing 7.9 kg (official) and recommended for riders 105-175 cm tall (ages 4-13). What Problem Does It Solve?

A traditional kids' bike usually has to be replaced with a bigger one as the child grows. Sooibe's patented mixed-age folding design lets one bike be ridden for around 10 years (ages 4-13), so you do not need to change bikes every time your child shoots up. Saddle and handlebar heights adjust; the training wheels help beginners balance and fold up once they are no longer needed, with no tools or removal required. Folded to 58 x 27 x 52 cm, it is also easier to store in a Hong Kong flat.

Mixed-Age Design: Adjustable Saddle and Handlebar Height

Sooibe's official specs list an external V-type toothless adjustable two-section folding head tube. The brand's images explain that from age 4 to 13 you only need to adjust the saddle and handlebar height, and the handlebar height can be adjusted by hand without tools.

Patented Fold-Up Training Wheels

The bike comes with 14-inch patented folding training wheels. Beginners ride with them down, and they can be folded up while riding.

Folding and Storage

The brand spec chart gives a folded size of 58 x 27 x 52 cm, with an unfolded length of 107 cm and height of 78-92 cm. A promotional image shows three folded Sooibe bikes in a car boot.

Wheels, Frame and Details

14-inch pneumatic sports tyres on 20-spoke wheels; the 6061 aviation aluminium frame uses a triangular structure. The handlebar height adjusts by hand and the folding clamp has a double safety buckle.

Who Is It For?

Sooibe recommends the 007 Pro for riders 105-175 cm tall, aged 4-13. Height is the more reliable guide when choosing; for help matching wheel size to your child's height, see the Jollymap article 6 factors to consider when choosing a kids' bike (in Chinese).

• Good for: children learning to ride who still need training wheels; families who want one bike to last; parents who often carry the bike up stairs or into a car boot.
• Consider instead: for 16-inch wheels, compare the Sooibe 005 Extendable 16 inch kid bike (official rider height 110-180 cm); for a child who can already balance and wants gears, compare the Sooibe 009 16" 6Speed Super Light Kids Folding Bike.

Jollymap's Advice

The Sooibe 007 Pro 14" suits families whose child is just learning to ride but who want a bike that lasts: the training wheels fold up instead of being removed, and at 7.9 kg it is easy for a parent to lift. If your child is already over 110 cm, compare the 16-inch 005 or 009 as well. Not sure which one fits? Before ordering, chat with us or message our Facebook page with your child's age and height.

FAQ

Where is Sooibe from?

Sooibe (書比) is a kids' bike brand from Hangzhou, China. Its official website lists the company as 書比智能科技（杭州）有限公司, and its range includes mixed-age kids' folding bikes, balance bikes and kids' mountain bikes.

What height and age is the Sooibe 007 Pro 14" for?

Sooibe recommends riders 105-175 cm tall, aged 4-13. The saddle and handlebar height adjust, so the same bike can keep up as your child grows; height is the more reliable guide when choosing.

How much does the Sooibe 007 Pro weigh?

7.9 kg (Sooibe official). A Taiwan retailer states that this figure excludes the training wheels. For comparison, Sooibe's 16-inch 005 is 9.0 kg and the 009 is 9.2 kg (official figures).

Does the Sooibe 007 Pro come with training wheels?

Yes. It comes with 14-inch patented folding training wheels: put them down while learning, then fold them up once your child can balance, with no need to remove them.

Does the Sooibe 007 Pro have gears?

Sooibe's official specs do not list a gear system, and a Taiwan retailer lists the 14-inch 007 Pro as single speed. If you want gears, compare the 16-inch 6-speed Sooibe 009.

Can I take the folded Sooibe 007 Pro on the MTR or a bus?

The MTR limits luggage to a total length, width and height of 170 cm; the 007 Pro folds to 58 x 27 x 52 cm according to the brand spec chart, a total of 137 cm (the brand does not say whether pedals are included). Franchised buses generally restrict bicycles: section 14 of the Public Bus Services Regulations (Cap. 230A) only allows items up to 5 kg and 0.1 cubic metres, and the 007 Pro weighs 7.9 kg, so it does not qualify; minibuses are not guaranteed either. Check the Transport Department Cycling Information Centre page on taking bicycles on public transport and the operators' latest rules.

What is the difference between the Sooibe 007 Pro, 005 and 009?

The 007 Pro has 14-inch wheels, weighs 7.9 kg (official), suits riders 105-175 cm and comes with fold-up training wheels. The 005 Extendable 16 inch weighs 9.0 kg (official), suits riders 110-180 cm, has a frame that extends front to back and also comes with training wheels. The 009 16 inch has Shimano 6-speed gearing, weighs 9.2 kg (official) and suits riders 110-175 cm.
