The Air Seat 25 is the world's only full-floating saddle suspension system designed specifically for bicycles, fitting under your existing saddle to provide 360-degree shock absorption in every direction — up and down, front and back — at just 250g. Traditional suspension systems only absorb shock along a single axis to keep the saddle stable while riding. The Air Seat's full-floating design maintains that stability while also absorbing vertical and fore-aft vibration for more complete shock absorption.
Key Highlights
- Category: Full-floating saddle suspension system (fits between seatpost and saddle; saddle not included)
- Brand: Air Seat, developed and manufactured by Liyida Co., Ltd. (Taiwan)
- Key feature: The world's only full-floating saddle suspension design, absorbing shock in all directions; winner of the 2024 Red Dot Design Award and 2024 iF Design Award
- Key numbers: 250g weight, 125 mm (L) x 54 mm (W) x 65 mm (H), aluminium construction with a stainless steel spring
- Certification: Patented design, passed SGS fatigue testing for 200,000 cycles
- Best for: Riders who want to add suspension to their existing saddle, ride rough roads often, or feel saddle discomfort after long rides. If you have an unusual seatpost (e.g. aero/tapered post) or are unsure about fit, please contact us before ordering
Full-Floating Suspension, Shock Absorption in Every Direction
The Air Seat's dual-axis spring design provides suspension both vertically and fore-aft, letting the saddle handle both up-and-down bumps and front-to-back movement while remaining stable to ride, reducing saddle discomfort on longer rides.
Aluminium Construction at Just 250g
The Air Seat 25 is made from aluminium (with a stainless steel spring), weighing only 250g, so it adds minimal weight to your bike. The range also includes the zinc-alloy Air Seat 35 (350g), positioned as the more affordable option — see the comparison below.
Easy Installation, About 5 Minutes
The Air Seat fits between the top of the seatpost and the underside of the saddle. The manufacturer states installation takes about 5 minutes. Note that it raises saddle height slightly, so if your seatpost is already at or near its lowest position, check there is enough room to lower it before installing.

Choosing a Size: By Weight and Riding Position
The Air Seat 25 is available in four sizes — XS, S, M and L. The manufacturer's official sizing depends on both rider weight and riding position (leaning forward or upright), since each posture puts a different proportion of body weight through the saddle:
| Size | Forward-leaning (torso 0°–45°) | Upright (torso 45°–90°) |
|---|---|---|
| XS | Under 70 kg | Under 55 kg |
| S | 70–85 kg | 55–70 kg |
| M | 85–100 kg | 70–85 kg |
| L | 100–115 kg | 85–100 kg |

Air Seat Range Comparison: 25 / 35
The Air Seat 25 and Air Seat 35 share the same official shock absorption rating (four stars); the main differences are material and weight:

Compatibility Notes
Saddle size: The saddle used with the Air Seat should not exceed 18 cm in width or 7 cm in height, otherwise riding stability may be affected or the structural design may be exceeded. Saddle rail length: Where the saddle rails meet the Air Seat, the rails must extend beyond the dark-marked section shown below; saddles with rails that are too short are not compatible.

Not compatible with: Candle-type (aero/tapered) seatposts and some clamp-style seatpost heads are not compatible with the Air Seat; Brompton folding bikes require a seatpost change before the Air Seat can be installed. If you have an unusual seatpost or are unsure about compatibility, please contact us before ordering with your seatpost model and a photo so we can help confirm fit.

Patent and SGS Certification
The Air Seat is a patented design and has passed SGS fatigue testing for 200,000 cycles.

Jollymap's Recommendation
If your bike doesn't have built-in suspension (for example a Giant TCR Advanced 2), you could consider adding an Air Seat to improve comfort on longer rides without replacing the entire seatpost — seatpost heads vary, so please send us a photo of yours to confirm fit before ordering. If you ride a folding bike (such as a Brompton) or have an unusual seatpost, please confirm compatibility before ordering to avoid choosing the wrong size or finding it doesn't fit.
FAQ
What's the difference between the Air Seat 25 and Air Seat 35?
Both have the same official shock absorption rating — the main difference is material and weight. The Air Seat 25 is aluminium at 250g, officially positioned as the ultra-light version; the Air Seat 35 is zinc alloy at 350g, officially positioned as the more affordable option. Jollymap currently stocks the Air Seat 25 shown on this page.
Which size should I choose?
The manufacturer's official sizing depends on both your weight and riding position (leaning forward or upright) — see the sizing table above. If your weight is close to the boundary between two sizes, please contact us before ordering to confirm, as choosing the wrong size can affect shock absorption or cause the suspension to bottom out.
Will it fit my seatpost? Can it be fitted to a folding bike like a Brompton?
Most conventional seatposts are compatible, but candle-type (aero/tapered) seatposts and some clamp-style seatpost heads are not. Brompton folding bikes require a seatpost change before the Air Seat can be installed. Please contact us before ordering with your seatpost model and a photo so we can confirm compatibility.
How long does installation take?
The manufacturer states installation takes about 5 minutes. Note that it raises saddle height slightly, so if your seatpost is already at or near its lowest position, check there is enough room to lower it before installing.
How is full-floating suspension different from a traditional suspension seatpost?
Traditional suspension seatposts generally only absorb shock along a single (vertical) axis. The Air Seat's full-floating design absorbs shock both vertically and fore-aft, handling both up-and-down bumps and front-to-back movement for more complete shock absorption.
Has this product passed any safety testing?
The Air Seat is a patented design and has passed SGS fatigue testing for 200,000 cycles. It also won the 2024 Red Dot Design Award and 2024 iF Design Award.
Where can I buy the Air Seat in Hong Kong?
