What Problem Does It Solve?
As Strider puts it, balancing can be a big challenge when you're small and your bike is too heavy. That is why Strider built the 12 Pro with an all-aluminium frame: it weighs 2.5 kg, 0.5 kg less than the steel Strider Sport 12 (3.0 kg), so there is less bike for a toddler to hold up and push along.
Who Is It For?
The 12 Pro suits children aged 1 to 4 with an inseam of 31-46 cm and a weight under 27 kg. Its size and adjustment ranges are the same as the STRIDER Sport 12 No-Pedal Balance Bike; the difference is the aluminium frame and lower weight. If your child is already beyond the 12-inch size, look at the larger Strider 16 Sport Balance Bike. If you would like a bike that can later take pedals, consider the Strider 14X 2in1 Balance to Pedal Bike.
Built for Little Racers
A little dirt never hurt anyone, and a child who wants to go fast and get dirty needs the right tools. The Strider 12 Pro is the bike of choice for kids who don't just want to go fast but need to go fast. Not even a full diaper is enough to slow the 12 Pro down. Designed for little racers, it has an all-aluminium frame that barely tips the scale at 2.5 kg (5.6 lbs) and a unique performance footrest.
Tool-Free Adjustment as Your Child Grows
Easy-adjust clamps let you raise the seat (28-43 cm) and handlebar (46-56 cm) without tools, so the bike can be set up for your child now and raised as they grow.
Mini Grips, Padded Seat and Sealed Bearings
The handlebar has mini-grips sized for small hands and a safety pad. The seat is a padded performance seat, and the wheels run on premium sealed cartridge bearings.
Maintenance-Free Foam Tyres
The 12-inch foam rubber tyres never need pumping and cannot go flat, so the bike is always ready to ride.

Jollymap Recommendation
Measure your child's inseam before choosing. Strider's size guide suggests having your child stand straight against a wall with shoes on, sliding a book up between their legs to the crotch, and measuring from the top of the book to the floor. If it falls within 31-46 cm, both the 12 Pro and Sport 12 fit. Choose the Pro if weight matters most, for example if your child is small for their age or you often carry the bike. Not sure which one fits? Before ordering, chat with us or message our Facebook page with your child's age and inseam.

Recently, many parents have been inquiring about Strider's anti-counterfeit laser stickers. Due to a modification in the balance bike design, Strider no longer uses laser stickers on the body of the bike. However, the bike still has a factory maintenance sticker with a serial number and production date. Parents are reminded to keep this sticker for future reference. FAQ
What is the difference between the Strider Pro and Strider Sport?
The frame material and weight. The Strider 12 Pro has an aluminium frame and weighs 2.5 kg (5.6 lbs); the Strider Sport 12 has a steel frame and weighs 3.0 kg (6.7 lbs). Both fit ages 1-4 and inseams of 31-46 cm, with the same seat (28-43 cm) and handlebar (46-56 cm) ranges and a 27 kg rider limit.
How much does the Strider Pro weigh?
2.5 kg (5.6 lbs), according to Strider. Strider describes it as the "World's Lightest Strider®", i.e. the lightest bike in its own range.
What age is the Strider Pro for?
Strider lists the 12 Pro for ages 1 to 4 and inseams of 31-46 cm (12-18 in). Strider's size guide says age is only an approximate fit, while inseam gives an exact fit, so measure your child's inseam before choosing.
How can I tell if a Strider Pro is genuine?
Strider no longer uses anti-counterfeit laser stickers on the frame, but genuine bikes carry a factory sticker with a serial number and production date, which you should keep for warranty purposes. See Strider's warranty page for details.
What is the maximum rider weight?
27 kg (60 lbs). Riders above this limit should move up to a larger model.
Do the tyres need pumping?
No. The Strider 12 Pro uses maintenance-free 12-inch foam rubber tyres that cannot go flat.
What should my child move to after outgrowing the Strider Pro?
Once your child is beyond the 46 cm inseam or 27 kg limit, move up to a larger bike. Jollymap stocks the Strider 16 Sport Balance Bike and the Strider 14X 2in1 Balance to Pedal Bike; contact us before ordering to check the size.
Does my child need a helmet on a balance bike?
Yes, we recommend a properly fitted bicycle helmet every time. Knee and elbow pads can also reduce scrapes from falls.
Where can I buy the Strider Pro in Hong Kong?
Jollymap sells the Strider 12 Pro online and in store. To check colours and sizing before ordering, chat with us or message our Facebook page.
