The Colnago V3 105 Di2 is an Italian carbon disc road bike; Colnago calls the V3 its entry-level monocoque carbon frame, here with Shimano 105 Di2 12-speed electronic shifting and Shimano 105 hydraulic disc brakes. Colnago describes the V3 as "the entrance door to the Colnago world of quality", blending lightness with aero details and room for 28 mm tyres.

When we developed the V3 we thought of all those cyclists who want to get the most out of their investment. Quality carbon and fittings designed to offer an excellent level of performance and contain costs make V3 a perfectly balanced bike from every point of view.

The Design
It blends technical solutions that aim at lightness with aerodynamic details. The line is clean and essential and it can be fitted with covers up to 28"". V3 is available in eight sizes and in a single version with disc brakes.

Geometry
What is the point of making a light bike if you can't ride it effectively? For this reason the geometry has been completely redesigned. The main features are the shorter head tube, the longer fork and a greater balance across all eight size options. The height of the bottom bracket has also been changed, it is lower, to improve the ride-ability of the bicycle with increased tyre widths (28c).

The Fork
Developed for maximum compatibility with disc brake systems. The new shape with concave sheaths in the upper part (front view) optimized the wheel passage allowing the use of wide tyres (28c), comfort and lateral rigidity.

Seatpost Closure
Much of the effort has been concentrated in this area of the frame, both to reduce the overall weight of the licking system and to increase its functionality, power and safety. The new locking system is therefore smaller if compared to that of the V2-R and the C64, integrated into the frame and allows a greater modulation in tightening.

Cable routing
According to Colnago, the V3 disc version uses the exclusive TFS Integrated fork system: the cables pass entirely inside the Colnago SR9 stem and then through the fork steerer, for a cleaner and more aerodynamic frame.

Features:

FAQ

Is the Colnago V3 an entry-level Colnago?

Yes. Colnago calls the V3 "the entry-level Colnago Monocoque frame" and "the entrance door to the Colnago world of quality", while keeping the advantages of a monocoque carbon frame.

How much does the Colnago V3 weigh?

Colnago's 2022 product page lists a V3 frame weight of 950 g; it does not give a complete-bike weight for the 105 Di2 build. Weight varies with size, wheels and build; contact us before ordering if you need a reference.

What sizes does the Colnago V3 come in, and how do I choose?

The V3 comes in eight sloping sizes: 42s, 45s, 48s, 50s, 52s, 54s, 56s and 58s, all offered by Jollymap. Compare reach and stack in the geometry table with a bike that fits you, or contact us with your height and inseam.

What is the maximum tyre size for the Colnago V3?

28 mm. Colnago says the V3 fits 28 mm tyres, with a redesigned fork shape and lower bottom bracket to suit 28c tyres.

Colnago V3 vs Pinarello F5: what is the difference?

Both are Italian carbon disc road bikes, and the versions at Jollymap both use Shimano 105 Di2 12-speed. The V3 is Colnago's entry-level monocoque frame in eight sizes with 28 mm tyre clearance; the Pinarello 2023 F5 uses Toray T700 UD carbon with an asymmetric frame, in six sizes at Jollymap.

Is the Colnago V3 fully internally routed?

According to Colnago, the V3 disc version uses the TFS Integrated fork system, with cables running inside the Colnago SR9 stem and through the fork steerer. Please contact us to confirm the actual build before ordering.

Does the Colnago V3 come with pedals?

No. The spec states that pedals are not included, so you will need flat pedals or clipless pedals.

Where can I buy the Colnago V3 in Hong Kong?

Jollymap sells the Colnago V3 105 Di2 online and in store. To confirm size or build before ordering, chat with us or message our Facebook page.
