The HASA RTS1 is a 700c kids' road bike that uses the same 700c wheel size as adult road bikes, with a 6061 aluminium frame, SENSAH 2x9-speed gearing, short 152 mm cranks and a narrow 360 mm drop bar. Jollymap recommends it for children from about 130 cm tall who are ready for a proper road bike or a first triathlon.

At a glance

Why a 700c kids' road bike?

It is hard to find a road bike that fits children of about 130 to 150 cm. There are few 24-inch kids' road bikes, some are heavy, and parts can be hard to find. The RTS1 shrinks the frame but keeps the 700c wheel size used on adult road bikes, so the wheels hold speed well, and tyres, tubes and wheels in 700c size can be used for servicing or upgrades.

Although it is an entry-level road bike, the parts are chosen for children:

Jollymap data: saddle to pedal about 62 cm, weight about 9.6 kg without pedals.

Who is it for?

Less suited to: children under 130 cm, those still learning to ride, or mostly park riding. Shorter riders can look at 24-inch kids' road bikes such as the Solar 24 inch Racing Pro 24 Alloy 18 Speed Kids Road Bike or the Oyama JR 24 inch Kid Road Bike; for 26-inch there is the Frog Road 70 Super Lightweight Alloy 26 inch Kids Bike. Pair it with a proper helmet such as the MET IDOLO MIPS Road Cycling Helmet.

About HASA

HASA is the in-house brand of Heng Feng Bicycle in Taiwan. According to HASA's website, Heng Feng was founded in 1990, is based in Kaohsiung, and develops and manufactures titanium, carbon and aluminium frames as well as complete bikes. HASA is less well known in Hong Kong than the big brands, but its exhibition record shows years of appearances at international shows such as Taipei Cycle and Eurobike.

Jollymap's advice

The RTS1 suits children who already have good bike-handling skills and want to take the next step. Measure your child's height and inseam first, and make sure they can control the caliper brakes from the drop bar. If you want to adjust the spec to your child's level, or are unsure about fit, chat with us before ordering, or message our Facebook page.

FAQ

How tall should a child be for the HASA RTS1?

Jollymap recommends about 130 cm and up. HASA does not publish a height range; our original description targets children of about 130 to 150 cm, and we measured about 62 cm from saddle to pedal. If your child is close to 130 cm or over 150 cm, please contact us before ordering so we can check height and inseam.

How much does the HASA RTS1 weigh?

About 9.6 kg without pedals (Jollymap figure). HASA's spec page does not list a weight.

What is the difference between a 700c and a 24-inch kids' road bike?

Mainly wheel size and rider height. The RTS1 uses the same 700c wheel size as adult road bikes, so 700c tyres, tubes and wheels fit, which makes servicing and upgrades easier; Jollymap recommends it from about 130 cm. Shorter children can look at 24-inch kids' road bikes such as the Solar 24 inch Racing Pro 24 Alloy or the Oyama JR 24 inch Kid Road Bike.

What gears does the HASA RTS1 have?

SENSAH 2x9-speed, 18 gears in total: 46/34T chainrings, a SUGEK 11-32T cassette and 152 mm cranks (HASA official spec). Jollymap's original description notes the SENSAH levers have an extra-short reach and shift like SRAM, which differs from Shimano.

What is the difference between the HASA RTS1 and RTS1D?

They are listed on separate pages of HASA's website. The RTS1 on this page matches HASA's "2026 RTS neo": Tektro R-315 caliper brakes, SENSAH 46-34T chainrings, a SUGEK 11-32T cassette and an FSA BB-7420ST bottom bracket. HASA's "2026 RTS1D" page lists SENSAH brakes, SHUN 46-33T chainrings, a Shimano 11-36T cassette and a NECO B910 bottom bracket, in blue, black and white. Both use a 6061 aluminium frame in a 40 cm size with 700C wheels.

What brakes does the HASA RTS1 use?

Tektro R-315 caliper brakes with SENSAH brake levers (HASA official spec).

What colours does the HASA RTS1 come in?

The Jollymap shop lists Glossy White and Matt Black. HASA's official page lists red, blue, black and white.
