What Problem Does It Solve?
A first scooter needs to be light, stable and easy to steer, and your child has to love it enough to keep riding. The Flux LED keeps the Mini Micro Deluxe's three-wheel lean-to-steer and adjustable handlebar, then adds a transparent deck and LED wheels; Micro says the LED wheels make children and their scooter easier to see in low light.
Semi-transparent deck
The see-through deck with colour-pop branding is the Flux signature, finished with a shiny aluminium handlebar. Micro calls it "the coolest scooter for young techies".
LED wheels
The two front wheels are LED wheels that light up as your child rides (Micro's product photos show a standard black rear wheel). Micro says the LED wheels mean kids and the scooter can be seen from afar, even in the dark.
Patented lean-to-steer
Children turn by leaning their body left or right. Micro says this patented mechanism promotes balance and motor skills.
Adjustable, removable handlebar and grippy footplate
The handlebar adjusts from 49 to 67 cm and can be removed for storage and transport. Micro explains that a plastic handlebar guide keeps the aluminium tubes from rubbing and seizing when you adjust it. The footplate has silicone mouldings for extra grip, the handles are made from non-toxic materials, and replacement parts are available from Micro.
Who Is It For?
- Great for: 2–5 year olds who can already ride standing up; kids who love bright colours and a see-through look; families who ride out in the early evening.
- Consider instead: for a light-up handlebar as well, compare the Mini Micro Deluxe Magic LED Scooter; for a folding handlebar, the Mini Micro Deluxe Foldable LED Scooter; if your child is not yet steady on their feet and wants to sit first, the Mini Micro 3in1 Deluxe Adjustable Scooter.

Jollymap's Advice
The Flux LED is the Mini Micro Deluxe with LED wheels and a transparent deck, at much the same weight as the standard version, which makes it a good first scooter. Before the first ride, set the handlebar to your child's height (the Jollymap video at the top of this page includes a handlebar-height demonstration) and make sure they wear a helmet. Not sure which Mini Micro to pick? Chat with us or message our Facebook page before ordering, and tell us your child's age and height.
