The Aceoffix C5 16-inch 349 7-speed Carbon Fork Folding Bike in Purple is an aluminium tri-fold bike with a purple main frame and a black rear triangle. It pairs a 6069 T6 aluminium frame with a T800 carbon fork, and Aceoffix quotes 7.5 kg without pedals and front carrier block. It uses a Brompton-style tri-fold and shares the Brompton's 74 mm front and 112 mm rear spacing, so it suits commuters who want an eye-catching ultralight trifold that is easy to carry every day, with a couple of extra gears for short climbs.

The Problem It Solves
A steel Brompton weighs about 11.2 kg, which is hard work on stairs every day, and the lighter titanium T-Line is expensive. The C5 uses a 6069 aluminium frame, a carbon fork, a carbon handlebar and other light parts to keep the bike at 7.5 kg (without pedals and carrier block). This 7-speed version has two more gears than the 5-speed C5, giving you more options on flyovers and MTR exit ramps, and the purple frame gives a lightweight commuter some real personality.
Who It Suits
- Good fit: riders 140–185 cm tall who fold every day or carry the bike up stairs; anyone who wants a Brompton-style fold and Brompton-compatible accessories; riders who like a bright frame colour.
- Prefer a quieter colour: the same 7-speed bike is also listed as the Aceoffix C5 7 speed Carbon Fork Folding Bike - Matt Grey and the Aceoffix C5 7 speed Carbon Fork Folding Bike - Chrome, with the same specification and a different frame colour.
- Flat routes only: the 5-speed Aceoffix C5 16inch 349 5 speed Carbon Fork Folding Bike is simpler.
- Maybe not: if you often ride in the rain or want stronger braking and more gears, note that the C5 uses rim brakes; the 10-speed, full hydraulic disc Aceoffix D10 18inch 355 10 speed Carbon Fork Folding Bike is worth a look.
Key Features
Purple main frame with a choice of accent colours
This page is the purple-frame version of the C5 7-speed: the main frame is purple, while the rear triangle, fork and seatpost are black. Besides the original version with black parts, Jollymap offers the purple frame with Gold, Red, Purple, Silver, Blue, Orange or Pink accents. Exactly which parts are coloured may vary slightly by batch, so contact us before ordering if it matters to you.

6069 aluminium frame with thicker walls and steel sleeves
Aceoffix describes this carbon fork version as a full upgrade over the previous generation. The head tube and rear triangle are 6069 T6 aluminium, 20–40% harder than common 6061 alloy, with better fatigue resistance and fracture toughness. The main tube is larger (about 16.5 cm circumference) with 2.5 mm walls (typical frames use about 1.6 mm), and steel sleeves inside the tubes at the folding points add strength.
T800 carbon fork and threadless front end
The T800 carbon fork is paired with a threadless head structure; Aceoffix says that together with the large-diameter fork this gives a 60% increase in strength, while the specially designed pivot keeps folding smooth and controls vibration on the road. The headset is hidden, and when folded the stem locks back into the headset area.
Carbon bar and easy wheels for a 7.5 kg bike
The C5's mini M-bar, fork and easy wheels are carbon; the seat clamp and hinge hardware are aluminium; and the pedals are CNC single-side quick-release. These light parts are the key to the 7.5 kg figure (without pedals and carrier block).
Replaceable hinge and Brompton spacing
The hinge is a separate part that can be replaced if it wears. Front spacing is 74 mm and rear 112 mm, the same as a Brompton, so many Brompton accessories fit.

FAQ
How much does the purple Aceoffix C5 7-speed weigh?
Aceoffix quotes 7.5 kg without pedals and front carrier block, with about 2% tolerance; every colour of the C5 7-speed has the same specification. For reference, Jollymap weighed the 5-speed C5 at 8.15 kg with pedals and carrier block; we have not weighed the 7-speed version.
What is the difference between the Aceoffix C5 7-speed and 5-speed?
The gearing: the 7-speed has two more gears, giving you more choice on climbs. Both use 16-inch 349 wheels, a 6069 aluminium frame, a carbon fork and front and rear rim brakes, and Aceoffix quotes 7.5 kg for both. See the Aceoffix C5 16inch 349 5 speed Carbon Fork Folding Bike.
Aceoffix C5 or D10: which should I choose, and does the C5 have disc brakes?
The C5 has no disc brakes; it uses front and rear rim brakes, which helps keep the weight down. Choose the C5 if weight matters most and your routes are mostly flat or short climbs; choose the D10 if you often ride in the rain and want disc brakes and more gears. The D10 has 18-inch 355 wheels, 10 speeds and full hydraulic disc brakes at about 8.5 kg; see the Aceoffix D10 18inch 355 10 speed Carbon Fork Folding Bike.
What is the difference between the Aceoffix C5, S5 and Y5?
All three are Aceoffix aluminium trifold bikes: the Y5 is aimed at entry-level riders, the S5 focuses on upgraded components, and the C5 focuses on low weight with a 6069 aluminium frame and carbon fork. The Aceoffix Y5 16inch 349 5 speed Folding Bike and Aceoffix S5 16inch 349 5 speed Folding Bike listed at Jollymap are both 16-inch 349, 5-speed bikes.
What rider height does the Aceoffix C5 suit?
Riders 140–185 cm tall, men and women alike.
How does the C5 relate to a Brompton? Can I use Brompton accessories?
Many Brompton accessories fit. The C5 uses a similar tri-fold design, and its 74 mm front and 112 mm rear spacing match a Brompton. Actual fit can vary slightly by production batch, so contact us before ordering.
Which accent colours are available for the purple C5?
The purple frame comes in 8 combinations: the original version with black parts, plus Gold, Red, Purple, Silver, Blue, Orange or Pink accents. For a different frame colour, the same 7-speed is also listed in Matt Grey and Chrome.
