The FEELNEO Ceramic Bearing Tri-Spoke Wheelset is a carbon three-spoke wheelset made for the Java Neo: the 16-inch (349) pair weighs 790 g (±15 g) according to FEELNEO, and it is built to the Neo's 74 mm front / 142 mm rear, 12 mm thru-axle spacing. The hub uses a 36T planetary ratchet, the freehub runs on Taiwanese Tripeak ceramic bearings, and the standard freehub takes Shimano/SRAM 9–12-speed cassettes, with an optional SRAM XDR freehub. It suits Java Neo owners who want to cut weight and upgrade the look of their bike.

Why does the Java Neo need a dedicated wheelset?
The Java Neo uses thru-axles front and rear, with 74 mm front spacing, so any replacement wheelset has to match that standard. FEELNEO builds this wheelset to the Neo's 74 mm front / 142 mm rear, 12 mm thru-axle spacing and lists it as a Java Neo product on its official site. In our Java Neo 16-inch carbon review (in Chinese), Jollymap notes that swapping the stock aluminium wheels for carbon is one way to take more weight off a Neo.
Who is it for?
This wheelset suits riders who already own a Java Neo 16-inch (349) and want a lighter, better-looking bike, especially if they may move to a SRAM XDR 12-speed cassette later. It is not for: the Java Neo 14-inch (there is no 14-inch version, and the 14-inch rear spacing is 125 mm); the Java Neo 20-inch 451 drop-bar model (451 wheels, not 406); or a total load above the 110 kg limit. If your Neo is a 20-inch (406), FEELNEO makes a 406 version (specs in the table below); please contact us before ordering to confirm the size options.
790 g for a 16-inch pair
FEELNEO lists the 349 UD-finish wheelset at 790 g (±15 g) a pair. Lighter wheels mean a lighter bike, which also helps when carrying the folded Neo up stairs or into a car boot.
Tripeak ceramic bearings in the freehub
The standard FEELNEO freehub runs on 2 steel bearings; this ceramic bearing version uses 2 Taiwanese Tripeak ceramic bearings in the freehub instead. The front and rear hubs each have 2 bearings.
36T planetary ratchet hub
The hub uses a planetary 36T ratchet system. The standard freehub takes Shimano/SRAM 9–12-speed cassettes; to run a SRAM XDR road 12-speed cassette, add the FEELNEO XDR Cassette Body for Java Neo wheelset.
20 mm internal width, tubeless ready
The 349 rim is 32 mm deep, 27.5 mm wide outside and 20 mm wide inside (tyre bed), tubeless ready, with a recommended maximum pressure of 100 psi.
Which Java Neo models does it fit?
The FEELNEO 349 version is built to the thru-axle spacing of the Java Neo 16-inch (349). These Neo models in our shop are 16-inch (349):
- Java NEO 9S 16-inch 349 9-Speed Folding Bike
- Java NEO 9S 16-inch 349 9-Speed Folding Bike (Carbon Fork version)
- Java NEO 12s 16-inch 349 Electric Shift 12-Speed Folding Bike
- Java Neo 16-inch Folding Bike Chrome Limited Edition
- Java NEO J Air Carbon EX12 16-inch Folding Bike
Specifications can differ between Neo production batches, so please contact us before ordering with your model so we can confirm the spacing, rotor and cassette. For the differences between Neo models, see our Java Neo family guide (in Chinese).

Jollymap's advice: which wheelset should you choose?
- Lowest weight: on published figures, the FEELNEO 349 pair (790 g ±15 g) is the lowest of the three, and it is the only one of the three with published ceramic bearings, tubeless compatibility and a load limit.
- Keeping 6-bolt rotors: ODIN uses a 6-bolt mount; FEELNEO uses Center Lock. Whether your existing rotors carry over depends on the mount type.
- Looks and rim depth: Blast Wave has a 40 mm rim and also comes in white in our shop.
- Planning a SRAM XDR 12-speed cassette: FEELNEO works with the optional XDR freehub.
A wheel swap means moving rotors, cassette and tyres across. Not sure which wheelset suits your Neo? Before ordering, chat with us or message our Facebook page with your model, year of purchase and photos of your current rotors and cassette.

FAQ
How much does the FEELNEO tri-spoke carbon wheelset weigh?
The 16-inch (349) pair weighs 790 g (±15 g) and the 20-inch (406) pair 915 g (±15 g), both FEELNEO's official figures for the UD finish.
Is there a 20-inch (406) FEELNEO wheelset?
Yes. FEELNEO makes 349 and 406 sizes; the 406 has a 40 mm deep rim, 28.5 mm external and 21 mm internal width, with the same 74 mm front / 142 mm rear, 12 mm thru-axle spacing. The sizes currently offered in our shop are shown in the options on this page; if you need the 20-inch version, please contact us first.
Is the FEELNEO wheelset thru-axle or quick release?
This Java Neo version is thru-axle: 74 mm / 12 mm thru-axle at the front and 142 mm / 12 mm thru-axle at the rear, matching the Neo's thru-axle frame and fork.
Where are the ceramic bearings, and how is it different from the standard version?
The ceramic bearings are in the freehub. The standard FEELNEO freehub uses 2 steel bearings; this ceramic bearing version uses 2 Taiwanese Tripeak ceramic bearings there, while the front and rear hubs each have 2 bearings.
Can I keep my original cassette after fitting the FEELNEO wheelset?
Shimano-standard cassettes can stay. FEELNEO states that the standard freehub takes Shimano/SRAM 9–12-speed cassettes, so the Shimano CUES 9-speed 11–40T cassette on current 20-inch 9-speed Neos does not need a freehub change. Other Neo models use different cassettes (the 16-inch 9-speed uses 11–32T and the electronic-shift models a 12-speed 11–40T), so please contact us with your model and cassette before ordering so we can confirm whether it transfers directly. Only a SRAM XDR cassette needs the optional XDR freehub.
Can I use a SRAM XDR 12-speed cassette?
Yes, with a freehub swap. FEELNEO offers an optional SRAM XDR freehub, available in our shop as the FEELNEO XDR Cassette Body for Java Neo wheelset.
Do I need to modify the fork to fit the FEELNEO wheelset?
No. FEELNEO builds it to the Neo's 74 mm front / 142 mm rear, 12 mm thru-axle spacing, and a Hong Kong retailer describes it as a direct fit with no modification. Rotors, cassette and tyres need to be moved across or bought separately; the hubs take Center Lock rotors, so rotors with a different mount cannot be reused directly. Contact us before ordering to confirm your bike's setup.
Which Java Neo tri-spoke wheelset brands are there, and which is best?
No single wheelset suits everyone; it depends on your priority. The three compared on this page are FEELNEO (lowest published weight, with ceramic bearings), Blast Wave (40 mm rim, black or white in our shop) and ODIN (6-bolt rotor mount). See the comparison table above for details.
Is the FEELNEO wheelset tubeless compatible?
Yes. FEELNEO lists the rim as tubeless ready; the 349 version has a 20 mm internal width and a recommended maximum pressure of 100 psi.
Specifications and components follow the manufacturer's latest release and may change without notice. If in doubt, please contact us to confirm before ordering.
