The Problem It Solves
Once toddlers start walking, they soon get tired and want to be carried – yet a full-size buggy is bulky and awkward on public transport. Micro designed the Trike as a shopping and day-trip aid: your child sits on the seat while you push and steer with the push bar, and when you are done it folds small enough for the car boot. As the photo below shows, the folded Trike can hang from a backpack.

Who It Suits
Children from 18 months who weigh no more than 20 kg (Micro's official age groups are 1–3 and 3–5 years). It is especially handy for parents who regularly visit malls and supermarkets or travel by public transport, because it is light and folds compactly.
It is not the right choice if your child already weighs more than 20 kg, if you mainly need it on gravel or grass (Micro lists asphalt and indoor surfaces), or if you want your child to scoot and learn balance on their own – in that case look at the Mini Micro scooters below.
1.9 kg aluminium frame
Micro says the aluminium frame makes the Trike very light – just 1.9 kg – so carrying it upstairs or with a child in the other arm is much easier.
Height-adjustable push bar
The push bar adjusts to suit parents of different heights, and your child doesn't need to do any pushing.
Patented folding mechanism
Micro describes the folding mechanism as simple and says the folded Trike fits easily in any car boot; Micro's official Swiss shop lists the folded size as about 78 x 53 x 13 cm.
Removable safety belt (Deluxe)
The Deluxe version adds a safety belt that keeps your child seated safely and comfortably on the move, and it can be removed when not needed.
PU wheels and non-toxic grips
The 110 mm, 83A PU wheels give what Micro calls a stable ride, and the handgrips use only non-toxic materials. The Micro Trike Deluxe has also received a Parents' Choice Foundation Gold Award.

Jollymap's Advice
The Micro Trike is pushed by a parent; keep the safety belt fastened while your child is on board and don't let go of the push bar on slopes. FAQ
From what age can a child use the Micro Trike?
From 18 months. Micro's official age groups are 1–3 and 3–5 years, with a 20 kg maximum load; once your child is close to 20 kg, it is time to move on to a scooter.
What is the maximum weight for the Micro Trike Deluxe?
20 kg. That is Micro's official limit; the trike itself weighs just 1.9 kg.
Does the Micro Trike fold, and how big is it folded?
Yes. It uses Micro's patented folding mechanism, which Micro says lets it fit easily in a car boot; Micro's official Swiss shop lists the folded size as about 78 x 53 x 13 cm.
What is the difference between the Micro Trike Deluxe and the Micro Trike XL?
The Trike XL is the bigger version. According to Micro, the Trike Deluxe weighs 1.9 kg, has 110 mm wheels and a removable safety belt; the Trike XL weighs 2.7 kg, has 145 mm wheels and is aimed at older children who no longer want a buggy but can't yet walk long distances. Both have a 37.5 cm seat height. This page is the Trike Deluxe.
What is the difference between the Gold on this page and the Limited Edition page?
Both pages are the Micro Trike Deluxe with the same specifications. This page offers Gold, Pink and Blue; the Micro Trike Deluxe Ride on (Limited Edition) comes in Gold only. If you are unsure which gold listing to choose, contact us before ordering.
Can the Micro Trike replace a buggy?
For shopping and short outings, yes. Micro's official Swiss shop calls the Trike Deluxe "the foldable alternative to the stroller": your child sits on the seat and you push with the push bar. Micro does not list a sunshade or reclining seat, though, so a buggy is still better for naps or long days out.
Which surfaces is the Micro Trike suitable for?
Micro lists asphalt and indoor surfaces – for example malls, supermarkets and smooth pavements. Gravel, grass and other uneven ground are outside Micro's recommendation.
Where can I buy the Micro Trike Deluxe in Hong Kong?
Jollymap sells it online and in store. If you'd like to confirm a colour before ordering, chat with us or message our Facebook page.
