What problem does it solve?
Many first-time buyers want a folding bike for commuting or weekend rides but are unsure where to start with so many models, gear counts and brakes. The Hit keeps it simple: aluminium frame, 6 speeds and 20-inch wheels. Twist the grip to change gear, enough for flat roads and gentle slopes, and fold it away to save space at home or in the office. Jollymap's Dahon buying guide also lists the Hit as an entry option for beginners on a budget.
Who is it for?
The Hit suits riders who mainly ride on flat roads, cycle tracks and short city trips and value simple controls – weekend cycle-track rides or short shopping trips. If your daily route has more hills, or you prefer disc brakes, compare the 9-speed disc Dahon K One 20inch Folding Bike FKA091. Dahon Hong Kong does not publish a maximum load or rider height for the Hit, so if you are near the usual limits of a folding bike, please contact us before ordering.
Easy 6-speed twist shifting
The official photos show a Shimano RevoShift 6-speed twist shifter with a gear indicator window and a Shimano rear derailleur. Twist the grip to change gear – intuitive for riders new to geared bikes, with suitable gears for the flat and gentle slopes.
Aluminium frame, 12.06 kg
The Hit has an aluminium frame and weighs 12.06 kg per Dahon. Folded to 82 × 35 × 66 cm (L × W × H), it fits beside a sofa, under a desk or in a building storage corner.
V-brakes and practical fittings
The official photos show V-brakes front and rear, a kickstand and a guard around the chainring. Fittings may vary between production batches; please contact us before ordering if you need to confirm.

Jollymap's advice
If you mainly ride on flat roads and cycle tracks and want an easy 20-inch folder, the Hit's 6-speed twist shifter is enough; for hillier routes, consider the 9-speed disc K One or Vigor D9. FAQ
Is the Dahon KBA061 the same bike as the Dahon Hit?
Yes. Dahon Hong Kong names it "DAHON HIT (KBA061) Folding Bike" – the same KBA061 model code as this page, with the same official specs (20-inch, 6-speed, aluminium, 12.06 kg, folded 82 × 35 × 66 cm).
How much does the Dahon Hit weigh?
12.06 kg, as published by Dahon Hong Kong. Actual weight may vary slightly by production batch and measuring tool.
What is the Dahon Hit's weight limit and rider height?
Dahon Hong Kong does not publish them. Figures on overseas Dahon websites may not apply to the Hong Kong version, so if you are near the usual limits of a folding bike, please contact us before ordering.
What is the difference between Black and Black (International Ver)?
Dahon Hong Kong lists only one black and does not describe any spec difference for the international version; the two black options in our shop photos have different frame logo designs. Please contact us before ordering if you need to confirm how the two are specified.
Dahon Hit vs Dream D6: what is the difference?
Both are 20-inch, 6-speed bikes. The Hit has an aluminium frame and weighs 12.06 kg; the Dream D6 has a high-carbon steel frame, weighs 14.3 kg with a 105 kg maximum load per Dahon, and the official photos show a rear rack and front and rear mudguards. Choose the Hit for a lighter bike, the Dream D6 if you want a rack, mudguards and a published weight limit.
Are 6 speeds enough?
For flat roads and gentle slopes, generally yes. If your route has more hills or you want a wider gear range, the 9-speed K One or Vigor D9 will be easier.
Can I take the Dahon Hit on the MTR or a bus?
Not necessarily. Based on the official folded size (82 × 66 × 35 cm), the three sides add up to about 183 cm, over the MTR limit of 170 cm for the total length, width and height of luggage. Franchised buses generally only allow items within 5 kg and 0.1 cubic metres (Public Bus Services Regulations, Cap. 230A, section 14), and minibuses are not guaranteed. Please check the latest rules with the MTR or bus operator before you travel.
